What’s the benefit of choosing electric over gas?

Choosing an electric BBQ offers unmatched saftey and convenience for parks, public spaces, and urban furniture installations. Unlike gas BBQs, electric units eliminate open flames and gas leaks, making them ideal for areas with strict safety regulations. They heat up quickly, provide precise temperature control, and require minimal maintenance. Electric BBQs are versatile, suitable for both indoor and outdoors use, and more cost effective with lower running costs. Plus, they can be powered using renewable energy for a grenner solution.

Are our BBQs DDA compliant?

All GX Outdoors BBQs are DDA compliant, except the Edge BBQ.

What BBQ accessories are available?

GX Outdoors BBQs can be fitted with a range of practical accessories to suit any park or public space. Options include, splash backs, lift-off lids, hoods (lockable option available), extra bench space, raised hotplate mounts, vinyl covers, grease buckets with heat-resistant liners, and grease traps - all models offer a baffled grease trap for cleaner, safer operation.

Are our Inbench units safe to be installed directly into stone bench tops?

Yes, GX Outdoors Inbench BBQs can be safely installed into stone benchtops. Each unit comes with a heat-resistant silicone gasket for insulation. The cabinet will also need ventilation, and an access door for the control box and grease bucket. This ensures safe, durable performance.

What is the backup/assistance on offer if there is an error or the BBQ stops working?

GX Outdoors BBQs are backed by 24/7 customer support. If an error occurs, our team provides fast assistance to keep your park BBQs running reliably in public spaces.

What are the electrical requirements?

An electrician is required to run power to the BBQ site and install a GPO inside the cabinet. Depending on the model, power must be supplied to our 10A and 15A BBQs.

Can the hotplate size be customised?

GX Outdoors BBQs come with a standard hotplate, but we can supply raised mounts to fit most bench openings, allowing our hotplate to be used in a wide range of installations.

Can the BBQs be managed remotely?

Yes, GX Outdoors BBQs can be managed remotely using the GX 360 System, allowing councils and park managers to monitor and control usage from anywhere. This makes ideal for smart, sustainable public space and urban installations.

What’s the difference between the 10A and 15A BBQ’s?

The 10A GX Outdoors BBQ hotplate plugs into any standard GPO, making it easy and cost-effective to install (Nearly all household GPO's are 10A). The 15A hotplate heats faster and maintains higher cooking temperatures but requires a dedicated 15A circuit. Both are ideal for public spaces and outdoor parks.

Can the cooking temperature and cooking time be changed?

Yes, GX Outdoors BBQs allow you to adjust cooking temperature and time. BBQs are pre-set for optimal results, making them perfect for reliable and low-maintenance use.
